Both signed Lahore Declaration a historic document on Minar-e-Pakistan. Before that USA and Pakistan were caught in a diplomatic issue. Bill Clinton had to call Nawaz Sharif on very important matter. You’ll see the start of Kargil war from October 1998 to onward.
