Bajaj Auto has the most expansive number of motorcycles in the Indian market, which, therefore, makes it one of the leading bike manufacturers here. From the entry-level commuter CT 110 to the effortless cruiser Dominar 400, the manufacturer now has the widest range of motorcycles for sale in world’s leading two-wheeler marketplace.
On top of that, Bajaj also retails KTM motorcycles in the Indian market, which means it also sells all the Husqvarna motorcycles here too. So, all in all, it seems like Bajaj Auto does have a lot of offerings in the Indian market.
Today, we’re going to be putting our focus on how all the Bajaj motorcycles fare against one another in terms of price, and, as a bonus, we’ll also be discussing how each of these motorcycles stacks up in terms of their value-for-money quotient. So, without much further-a-do, here goes.
So, the range begins with the CT 110, which stands as the entry-level ticket to the Bajaj bikes brand in the Indian market. Priced at Rs. 43,928 (ex-showroom) for the KS Alloy trim, the CT 110 comes across as a stellar value-for-money package, since it also comes powered by a 115cc engine tractable enough to ride in the city.
Next in the line is the CT 100, which, for some reason, is priced higher than the CT 110, starting at Rs. 45,909 (ex-showroom) for the entry-level KS Alloy trim. The Platina 100 follows the CT 100, which begins at Rs. 50,671 (ex-showroom) for the KS Alloy variant. Both of these bikes are powered by a 102cc engine, which falls short as opposed to CT 110’s powertrain both in terms of outright performance and tractability. Therefore, CT 110 remains to be the budget-end pick from the Bajaj range.
The Platina 110 H-Gear, which borrows its powertrain from the CT 110, starts at Rs. 63,634 (ex-showroom) and is available in a single variant with alloy wheels, electric start, and more as standard. As its name implies, it gets an additional Highway gear – or a fifth-gear – which makes it easy to ride it both on highways and urban cities.
Out goes the plain commuter range and so begins the Pulsar range from Bajaj with the Pulsar 125, which is the brand’s fifth-most affordable bike in India (Rs. 72,828, ex-showroom). It comes powered by a 125cc powertrain and gets superior hardware in comparison to the bikes mentioned above.
Then there’s the Pulsar 150, which is quite a bit more expensive than its smaller sibling (Rs. 93,617, ex-showroom). Both the bikes look quite similar and carry forward the same design language from the Pulsars of yore.
Then comes along the Bajaj Chetak (Rs. 1 lakh, ex-showroom), which, don’t be fooled by its name, is an electric scooter and looks chic and classy. It is very modern and sophisticated in the way it has been designed and it rides very well too.
The Chetak is followed by the Avenger Street 160 (the entry-level cruiser from the Indian manufacturer priced at Rs. 1.01 lakhs, ex-showroom), the Pulsar NS160 (Rs. 1.09 lakhs, ex-showroom) – the entry-level new-age Pulsar – and then the Pulsar 180F (Rs. 1.13 lakhs, ex-showroom) – a bike that is an impeccable value-for-money proposition.
After the ones mentioned above, it’s the Avenger Cruise 220 (Rs. 1.23 lakhs, ex-showroom) and the Pulsar 220F (Rs. 1.23 lakhs, ex-showroom) that follow suit. Powered by the same engines, the former comes across as a cushy cruiser while the latter is the highest-capacity Pulsar.
Besides that, Bajaj also has two of the most exciting 200cc offerings in its product line-up, comprising of the Pulsar NS 200 (Rs. 1.31 lakhs, ex-showroom) and Pulsar RS 200 (Rs. 1.52 lakhs, ex-showroom), of which the former is a naked motorcycle and the latter is a fully-faired sports bike. Both come powered by the same 200cc engine though.
Last but not the least, it’s the Dominar duo that comes across as the most expensive bikes in Bajaj’s India product line-up. Both the effortless cruisers offer the same amount of comfort with some differences in hardware and the main separating point being the powertrain, where the Dominar 250 (Rs. 1.65 lakhs, ex-showroom) comes powered by a 250cc engine and the Dominar 400 (Rs. 1.97 lakhs, ex-showroom), as you may have guessed it by now, comes packed with a 400cc motor.
