Hello friends! Hope you all may be fine and enjoying your lives with precautions in this pandemic. Neither one has thought of living such a preventive life……nor have we thought that there would be such a virus (Coronavirus) that would ruin the lives of many! But staying safely at home and working from home has taught all of us, a new lesson……. Being together one can fight with every situation.

The main problem that was faced by everyone was……. shopping!! Do you think so?? Although in the starting, we all thought that how we would fulfill our basic needs…. but slowly the online facility proved to be of great help!

What do you mean by Home Décor??

The art of making your home look good is home décor. It relates to the aesthetic elements used to make a home more appealing and visually pleasing. Home décor includes physical items and objects (furniture, paintings, and accessories), physical items and objects in place, and colors and materials in the room (flooring, wall coverings, window coverings, and ceilings). There are various home décor models. There are unlimited choices of colors, furniture types, and item arrangements in a room.
When it comes to home décor, furniture and wall decorations are just the beginning.

Different types of Home Décor:

There are various types of home décor items that are required to make our home look beautiful. It all depends upon the type of room that we want to decorate. For instance, for the living room, we need a sofa set, tables, etc. For bedrooms, we require comfortable beds, bedside tables, for the dining room we need dining tables, etc.

So, there are particular types of furniture suiting all our various needs. Some of them are discussed here:

1. Sofas: These are one of the basic necessities in each and every home. Without the sofas, a living room doesn’t seem to be a living room. So, in order to highlight the living room, one should be quite careful while selecting a set of sofas or a couch. There are numerous varieties available that offer you a wide range of colors, shapes, and sizes. So, you get a big opportunity to fulfill your choices and selection. Some of the types are – The Ottoman, the loveseat, the armchair, sectional/modular sofa, sofa-beds, and many more.

2. Beds: When the thought of sleep overcomes all your feelings and desires, the only thing that comes to your mind is… Going to bed! But what, if your beds are not comfortable and do not provide you relief from your whole day long and tiresome work??? Then you will be quite frustrated with your selection…. So, it’s important that you select the best beds as well as mattresses that remove all your stress and worries and provides you a sound sleep. Some of the types of beds are four posters bed, platform bed, box bed, bunk bed, canopy bed, floor bed, sofa-cum bed, and so on.

3. Tables and chairs: Tables and chairs come hand in hand. These are needed for various purposes in our homes. Whether they are dining table and chairs, garden chairs and table or chairs for living room, etc…… they all need to be sophisticated to match our needs. So, one should take utmost care while selecting these for their home. Some of the different types are mentioned here: Writing desk, Bedside table, Card table, Conference table, Computer desk, Worktable desk, End table, Dining room table, Dressing table, Patio table, Bar table, Picnic table, Table tennis table, etc.

4. Bedside Tables: These are the small tables that are usually kept at the side of the beds. These tables prove to be of great utility as they can hold your table lamp, alarm clock, books, magazines, specs, medicines, and other important items. There are three main types of bedside tables, and each table is used somewhat differently.

● BEDSIDE CHEST : Bedside chests generally have 2 or 3 drawers, commonly used by individuals who need additional storage for their socks, television remote controls, watches, etc. The kind of people who dislike clutter and would want to put it all away usually use it.

● BEDSIDE CABINETS: Bedside cabinets use bedside chests in a somewhat different way. Bedside cabinets normally come with a fridge and then a drawer above that. The benefit of buying a bedside cabinet is that it leaves space at the bottom for storing larger items and then additional storage above that in the drawer.

● NIGHTSTANDS: Nightstands are different from the two above, and nightstands typically concentrate more on look and design than on storage. While a storage feature would be included in several nightstands, its main purpose is to provide a stand that you can use to place an alarm clock or bedside lamp on.

5. Wardrobes: Wardrobe, in furniture, is a large cupboard, usually equipped with drawers, mirrors, and other appliances used to store clothes. Moreover, different types of wardrobes are present that can be selected according to one’s choice. Some of the different types of wardrobes are:

● Hinged door wardrobe: The shutter or door is attached to the closet with powerful hinges in this type of wardrobe and hence it gets the term, hinged door wardrobe. The best benefit of this wardrobe is that the shutters will swing wide open at a 90-degree angle outwardly and allow a complete view of the closet, which makes it easy to spot items.

● Freestanding wardrobe: For free-standing wardrobes, the storage room lies not only inside, but also above the wardrobe.

● Sliding door wardrobe: It has sliding doors that slide along the metal tracks mounted to the top and bottom of the wardrobe from side to side, and it is not based on hinges to hold its doors.

● Walk-in wardrobe: You can take your bedroom to the next level of sophistication with walk-in wardrobes when you have the luxury of space. These wardrobes have enough space to store all your pieces without causing you to experience those overflowing drawers and brimming shelves, from shoes to jewelry collections.

● Customized wardrobe: They can turn even the tightest corner of your bedroom into a highly workable space for your accessories and belongings.
